NEXT MEETING: A Friday in Feb, date TBA.
Durham, NC
(More information and directions will be coming later.)

We had a great time at the December meeting! Special thanks to all those who shared their activities.

And congratulations to our newly-minted "NC Certified Training Specialists"!
This program focuses on 21st century competencies for trainers, including use of
a learner-driven, constructivist approach, new technologies and e-learning,
and issues of ethics and professionalism.
Those new to the field, or those wishing to upgrade or update their skills,
are encouraged to apply for the
next session scheduled for May in Charlotte.

There is great interest in the new "shared session" approach: one person gets a room and serves as host,
other trainers bring/send learners, everybody wins. Topics being scheduled now include "Effective Discipline",

retirement planning, DDI Learning Labs, and Diversity. Contact Jane Bozarth to participate.

The TNT Mission: To stamp out bad training.

Key Principles:
1. Learner first, situation second, content last
2. You choose when you sweat

3. If what you're doing isn't working, try something else

And the new one:
4. Don't blame your topic. Your content is like the ocean...
